Guest Posted June 21, 2008 Share Posted June 21, 2008 Hello, I'm not sure what is causing this, but on both of my computers Multi Theft Auto 0.5 is putting double extensions on all the game files it needs - for example it searches for gtavc.exe.exe... meaning it won't load the game properly. This happens on both of my computers, but I assumed it couldn't be a bug because I've used Multi Theft Auto, a few years ago, perfectly fine... Any thoughts? Cheers, Jacob. Link to comment

In addition, I tried MTA 0.4.1 and it too had the same problem, although this time it tried to find gta-vc.gta-vc.exe... After clicking "Start Game" it hangs, only displaying a reading-from-CD cursor for a couple of seconds before doing nothing. Does anyone know why this is happening? Also, "gonnaplay.com" seem to have dropped all the older versions of MultiTheftAuto - just displaying a "Not Found" error page, perhaps you should remove the links to gonnaplay.com for the older MTA versions off your download-archives page.
