Be patient, as I said in another topic, find something else to kill time such as playing for a football team or baseball team. If you are physically unable to play sport, just go to the arcade and play some of the games there! You'll get some excercise in the process by walking or cycling and it'll take your mind off MTA.

Uhm, if they could release a beta they would, wouldn't they?

SA-MP has bugs because they rushed it, if they rush MTASA: DM it'll have bugs and im sure you'll whine about it.

Why cant you guys just wait? Its not easy to make it, they have to code, test, and whatever else they have to do, and what do we do? nothing.

You can atleast show your appreciation by waiting patiently for the release without whining every week.

I’d rather stare at a blank wall instead of hitting a ball around a field only to realise that I couldn’t actually hit the thing, baseball is not my game. As a young lad I was always chosen last for any striking games we played in class. Anyway, I do agree with what you said my little Aussie mate.

Another opening thread that we’ve heard countless times, we all know the story and a lot of us are the same but to be honest not many people really care. Many have been waiting since day one, people have come and gone and it will continue to be that exchange until any release.

It's just normal that people get impatient after such a long development time, can't blame them.

Actually if there wouldn't be mta:race and other previous projects one could easily jump to conclusions that this whole thingie is just a hoax they keep on going.

Then again i haven't payed a single dime for anything here, so there's no reason for angry venting or something.

But having left with the words "a release is so soony-soon to come" in mind and coming back now months later with nothing having changed i find most reactions reasonable. :P

Broph; I was a dedicated MTA player before. I put down on projects like rumble and VC:MP, because at the time MTA was the best, and that went unquestioned.

MTA Betrayed that loyalty from their fanbase when they refused (and still do refuse) to release a playable mod to their fans.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again; should MTA come out with something that does it's previous loyal fanbase justice, they will again receive my support.

bullshit! The MTA team has never promised a release date! and therefore they have not betrayed anyone! I especially liked the way you capitalized the word "betrayed".

So, when you get what you want, then you'll support them? Shouldn't you support them now, when they need it most?

The only thing i really don't get concerning a public beta is the fact that the input of thousands of players would speed up the debugging process more then just a few selected players looking for bugs

(It can't be THAT unstable, can it?).

How and if the working method of the mta team will affect the later dm-playerbase remains to be seen when it's done.

But i rest my case and come back on a later point of the "things have been really picking up" timeline. ^^

Cheerio.

i just think everyone who moans should shut up...

Its not just the dev team putting in their hard work, the QA team as well, so dont forget about us lot here making game modes/documentation/websites/testing MTA etc etc etc!

The more you moan, the more u guys irritate the devs, this means its the longer the wait. - so, now we have some one to blame for the long wait dont we :)

You say that like you're finding out I'm a rapist, or I'm selling child porn. I merely changed which project of multiplayer game I play

The MTA team didn't have to promise a release date, and I never said they did. I merely said if they wanted continued loyalty and support, they shouldn't have stuck us in the dark with nothing to do for 2 years.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again; should MTA come out with something that does it's previous loyal fanbase justice, they will again receive my support.

So, when you get what you want, then you'll support them? Shouldn't you support them now, when they need it most?

When they need it most? Where were they, when their dedicated fan base needed them most? When we desperately wanted them to release it?

I keep getting told all these things, how it's going to be so great, how if I wait and see, it'll blow me away, etc etc.

So when it comes out, I'm GOING to give my support; The wimpy plan (I will pay you tomorrow for a hamburger today) doesn't really fly with me, especially when it's "I will pay you two years or later from now for a hamburger today.

Not to mention; that updates on progress are far and few between, and the picture of the day is more like the picture of the week ... :?

Plus, of course the Q/A team aren't complaining about it; or have such a negative view about it, at least they can get their hands on it, while they test it! :x

Now I understand what you meant when you said "dedicated"

I still don't understand how they betrayed the community. The reason behind the lack of updates (busy making a mod) is a good reason in my opinion

Well I believe that the mod team needs more support than the community (again its an opinion thing), since the community is large enough and has more options (they can go play another game for awhile if they want) that it can support itself. I do respect you for promising support upon release

They betrayed their enormous fanbase, by sticking us in the dark, and the loyalty that we had for them. There was a period when I held out and said "I'm still holding out for MTA, even though other people are delivering a playable mod" After about 6 months; that's where I draw the line; I'm not going to sit there and joyously support and give my loyalty to a mod that's not producing.

I don't believe that MTA will ever recover from the severe loss that the community took; and I think that's a very sad thing, because it was a great community. That's what I meant, when I said "Betrayed," I mean that all the players, who were just as vital to MTA's success as the devs themselves (Without people to play your mod, who gives a damn?) got left out to dry, when they refused to release.

I certainly hope that whatever "awesomeness" awaits us whenever MTA-SA-DM is finally released, is worth what it's cost us.

It hasn't cost you anything, you dumbass.

Name calling will get you no where.

I really appreciated Rob's honest response, and you come in here calling him a dumbass

There's no way to monitor the community's size, but I do know that its still there, its just playing SAMP. So as soon as MTA Deathmatch is released the MTA fans will move from SAMP back to MTA. Even after GTA4 is released, because not everyone will be able to run/afford GTA4, but thats another thread, another day.

You appreciate Rob's honest response that shows he's an ungrateful twat? That's always the greatest characteristic a forum dweller can have.

Oh, what? You don't know who I am Rob. Oh my God I'm so hurt. Because only the highest of post count holders can speak to you. Those lucky many. You've taken over a forum that you hate and love at the same time. Choose a side, quit thinking you've earned anything just because you come to some forums.

I'm pretty anyone would rather have someone who kept quiet about their bandwagon jumping than a talkative person like yourself.

Yeah, I'm not coming back to this thread for a while because..hmmm... Oh, right! I have other things to do.

Toodles!
