Disable guns

The following should prevent a gun from firing thanks to cancel event.

function lockGun()
	outputChatBox("Lock")
	cancelEvent()
end
addEventHandler("onClientPlayerWeaponFire",root,lockGun)

For one reason or another that does not seem to be the case.
