  3. Hello. Well, I have an xml file, which contents various stats of players (over ~21k of lines = 1 mb). And when I try to owerwrite it and save changes, the server starts lagg as hell for some seconds. Is there any solution to reduce so much overload? Btw, in my script, I once open an xml with 'xmlLoadFile' when resource starts.

    Funny Peds...

    I guess he means next thing: in single player everytime you stand near peds (you have a CJ skin), they usually talk about your clothes, fat etc. And if you answer negative on their question then they are attack you. This is 100% reproducable in MTA too with remote players too, not only with peds. There should be at least 2 players on the server: with CJ skin and any other. Then try to stay both in one place and then a guy and try to asnwer negative on any question the other ped will ask you. He will shake in one place trying to beat and chase you, but on remote players screen he won't be even moving. I think this could be disabled in MTA somehow, because it is kind of a desync and it makes more problems with synching peds then.

  6. Hello, I have a question: what does 'filtering' parameter in engineLoadTXD do? When should I use it, or should I use it at all, would it be better if I won't use it? Thx in advance.
  7. First of all, put your code in [/lua] tags. As I can see addCommandHandler("skin", selectorenable, false, false) you must type /skin to open the window ...

  9. The TXD-replacement function replaces a texture of a model with a certain ID. As far as I know, vehicle paitjobs doesn't have an ID at all. Thats why you can't use engineImportTXD this way.
  10. By changing textures in your game. You can not replace paintjobs in MTA right now. [offtopic] Btw, what does 'ref' function do? I saw it in the sorces and it's now highlighted in [lua] tags. [/offtopic]

Btw, I've noticed one thing: if there are no players on your server and you start resource 'slothbot' and your bots-resource (to spawn some bots on the map) through a console, the bots won't be moving even if you will walk near them. The trick to get rid of this is simple: restart resource if you are the first joined player. addEventHandler( 'onPlayerJoin', root, function() if #getElementsByType( 'player' ) == 1 then restartResource( getResourceFromName( 'slothbot' ) ); end; end); Anybody had such problem ? --- *facepalm*
  13. Hi! I have a problem here, I think you can help me a bit.. I have to render a picture on my screen. The size of the picture is 128x128. And I made it so the pic size is depends on user's screen resolution. I'll try to show you, what I mean: local scX, scY = guiGetScreenSize(); local hX, hY = scX/10, scY/8; addEventHandler( 'onClientRender', root, function() dxDrawImage( scX/1.5, scY/2-hY/2, hX, hY, 'house.png' ); end ); Now let's see, how this picture will look like on diffrent screen resolutions: 800x600 -broken image link removed at the request of OP- 1280x1024 -broken image link removed at the request of OP- 1920x1080 -broken image link removed at the request of OP- As you can see, house picture on the last screenshot is a bit streched. Well, the question is: how to make that the picture won't be streched on wide screens?

  16. I've got the same problem when I updated to 1.0.4. As I discovered, this problem occurs when you get weapons immediately after you have been respawned with holding 'Fire' key. So the best way is put timers on giving weapons to players. And yea, the jump button helps you to get out from NT ..

  20. Dimensions are required if you have more than 1 house in the same interior. For example, you have built 1 house in 10 interior and then you want to use this interior again for another house. So you must put the first house in dimension 1 and the second in dimension 2.I think you got what I mean.
