  1. This file might be interesting: https://github.com/multitheftauto/mtasa ... r.Util.hpp

If you look through it you'll find this: http://master.mtasa.com/ase/mta/?v=%VERSION%&id=%ID%

    And this: http://ase.aventine.modpro.be/ase2.dat?v=%VERSION%&id=%ID%

Looks like that's where they get the server-list data (master server list). Now it's up to you to figure out how to parse it. :)

This might help with the parsing: https://github.com/multitheftauto/mtasa-blue/blob/3bd948ed6efb02b09a7633819de50193bc2d21be/Shared/sdk/SharedUtil.Buffer.h

Strange, I was looking in that file bout couldn't find the http://mtaster.mtasa.com/ link, are you sure it was from this file? After viewing the link, I believe this is what I'm looking for, but I can't seem to find where they did it in the MTA source.

Well if you look at the top of the file "CVersionUpdater.Util.cpp" you see

    #define UPDATER_MASTER_URL1 "https://updatesa.multitheftauto.com/sa/master/?v=%VERSION%&id=%ID%"
    #define UPDATER_MASTER_URL2 "https://updatesa.multitheftauto.com/sa/master/?v=%VERSION%&id=%ID%"

These are called master files and are being loaded into the programs memory. They contain the links I gave you above to the master-server lists. :)

Oh and you're welcome by the way.

  3. Zarkolix, as alluded to in my above posts, he repeatedly violated intellectual property rights by stealing content off others and redistributing it as his own. This is illegal, it ruins the MTA experience of others whose work is stolen or cloned, who put time and effort into their creations. This isn't a case of other people telling him what to do, it's simply highlighting the difference between right and wrong.

He made mistakes but he did not learn from them. We're not discouraging him from doing things he likes, we're encouraging him to stop his stealing and copying ways, to go out and enjoy his childhood, not sit at home behind a computer playing a game which was intended for adults, not children. Most especially encouraging him to do something more productive with his life than undermining the creativity of others.

I agree with everything you just said, if it's true that he's been spending all his time stealing and copying then I agree that you should encourage him to spend his time elsewhere. But if he can learn from his mistakes and start to better himself in that regard then I don't think we should discourage him from doing what he likes (i.e. making resources for MTA or whatever). That was my point.

  4. Dude don't let people discourage you from doing the things you like. I don't know the back-story of this or whatever has happened but even if you've made mistakes, learn from them and move on.

If you like to play this game and make resources or whatever for it, then do it! Don't let other people (especially on the internet) tell you what to do.

  5. Good !

I would like to suck your knowledge of programming from Your Brain

That's not the programming itself, it's mainly maths. Some trigonometry and matrices. Interestingly enough, I haven't learned about matrices in school, but discovered many things myself :)

Yeah but you do have to learn how to implement it in scripts. I mean, I know trigonometry and linear algebra quite well but I still wouldn't be able to (by myself) do something like this. So kudos to you good sir!

  6. Man, I have seen many ppl doing this.... HOW TO Shoot from a vehicle???? I just cant understand how ;l

    Thx,

    Roydie

    Try right-clicking.

  7. Well the thing is, if you were to add scripting capabilities and dedicated servers ofcourse to the existing multiplayer part of GTA IV, it wouldn't suck as much.

  8. I use to Play MTA:VC in a clan to many yrs ago. Cant believe that its still going think it mite be time to blow the dust of my PC games and see who is on and see if I can still kick ass lol

Why not play GTA:SA? it has better graphics more stuff etc, its better in my opinion.

I don't know, maybe it's just nostalgia but I've always had a soft spot for GTA: VC and I used to have lots of fun with it (especially MTA: VC) back in the day.

  9. Was browsing around youtube and stumbled upon this video:

It really made me realize how much I miss MTA:VC and I couldn't help but to make a topic about it. Is there any chance that MTA:VC will be revived?

  10. I'm using a Macbook Pro myself and I must say that I was skeptical too at first but after using it a while, I realized the huge difference in quality and design when compared to regular laptops.

Now remember that I'm not talking about stationary PCs vs Macs, as I haven't had the chance to really try out a stationary mac.

Anyway, if you want a laptop that looks good, performs well and atop of that has great battery life and quality, then I'd recommend a Macbook Pro.

  11. Lol, and by that long rambling monologue you proved one thing. You're a massively self-centered knob who turns to flaming when you run into arguments you can't handle and who never learned that rules in any setting are there for a reason. I could go into a point-by-point breakdown of why your post is retarded, but... you're frankly too retarded for me to waste any more time on you.

Oh and don't forget, he's also massively dyslectic.

  12. I think you should try to limit the flaming, at least until you've been here for more than five minutes.

All I'm saying is that DM would be vastly more effective in pretty much any kind of testing. I don't get what you're flaming about (in the somewhat small of your post that wasn't raped by the censor), nor why you think the next version will be less suited for DM than RPG.

Also, feel free to take those traffic lights and shove them.

Has anyone ever told you what a douchebag you are?

You've destroyed my life. I bet you're proud.

On a more serious (albeit still off-topic) note: I have at least contributed something to the community, as opposed to you. You have been here roughly 3 times as long as I have, yet you have only 34 posts, most of which reveal you as more of a douchebag than I (or about 10 of me put together) will ever be. Since you're calling people a douchebag while actually being worse than they are, though, you are also a world-class hypocrite.

As for you, Izanagi, I don't bother trying to argue with people if they're not even making sense. Try again later.

I win. Can we get back on topic now?

So your definition of being a douchebag is not posting that much even though you've been registered for several years? If you read through my posts again you'll see that I'm not as arrogant and full of mysef as you are. Therefore, by definition, you're much more of a douchebag.

And yes, you do win the prize of being the biggest douchebag I've seen in a while.

And I know, you'll give me a long, more self-fulfilling answer now to compensate for your childhood problems or whatever it can be that makes you the douchebag you are behind that keyboard. I won't bother answering it though.

Oh and about contributing to the community; if you think contributing to a community means being a douchebag, you're way off man. And if you have contributed to the community, please tell me in what way(s) and how that makes you less of a douchebag.

Take this in and try to improve yourself.
