  1. yeah i have this idea in a previous post. youll be able to make the maps for this mod but creating an fps view and hud menu will he hard. Just think your going to have to create whole new first person animations that probably wont be synced. this is why i just had the idea to create the maps from CS and not the hud menu or anything as you want to keep the 'gta sense'

  2. theres not enough draw distance to create a BIG map without scenery dissapearing when you move away from it. When stood at one end of the map i couldnt see the other side which didnt look very realistic. Ill probably keep my designs to hold 32 players as what ever MTA do im pretty sure theyll make the max slots the same or larger.

  3. thats even better! i wasnt expecting to have the map converted as its just a plan and something to play around with and work on as i wait for DM to be released. Ill be more than happy to make the maps again for DM because i find its more enjoyable than actually playing on the map itself lol. Will be adding more screens soon.

  4. Ive just realized how good it will be with the blue platform in MTA:DM. First of all we'll be able to make completely new levels of a suitable size. E.g use landmasses with buildings on. Then place them high up in the sky and put boundries round. It will, in my opinion be the start of something new and exciting as you couldnt use most the buildings much in mta race due to the fact you couldnt fit your car inside! With all this in mind im pretty sure there will be some excellent designs that compete with fps games like halflife. Im hoping to design a Dedust type map like from halflife. What do you think?

    I decided to make a level using mta race and edited it in paint to give an idea of what my first map would look like in mta dm

    The bellow map would contain two teams terrorists and counter- terrorists. The aim of this map is to defeat the other team using tactics and environment as cover. It is not suitable to run around crazy on this map as youll probly get killed quickly. There are no vehicles in this version. If possible, when you die you have to wait for the match to finish. This will make the game more realistic.

  6. I decided to post this thread as i love both games but theres parts or each i wish i had in one.

    MTA positive points:

    good player select screen

    vehicles can be stolen

    vehicles can have passengers

    commentry chat screen e.g deathcount

    you cant be wounded when layed down

    (e.g from shotgun blast)

    easy server viewing

    MTA negative points:

    you can kill your own team

    not many characters to choose from

    many many flamers in chat box

    passanger on bike casuses game to crash sometimes

    VC:MP positive points:

    health bar seems to update quicker after injured

    large selection of characters

    (unsure) cant shoot team mates

    VC:MP negative points:

    trying to exit a vehicle as a passenger is delayed most times

    female character with spaz shotgun is annoying

    cant steal vehicles

    driveby kills are to fast (an uzi bullet seems to inflict twice damage as normal)

    idiots try to shoot you at character selection screen

    cant see how many players on server from vc:mp program

    Overall it seems that Mta has the advantage but i tend to play VC:MP mostly because theres a way less tense atmosphere and people are more vulnerable to death so people dont get a huge lead above everyone else

    Take both positive points from each side and you have the perfect multiplayer vice city. Im hoping Mta's release of Mta blue will change all this, im not sure if vc:mp intend to release a SA:MP but im hoping Mta is better as they seem to have put more effort in with the website and all.

    please post your positive and negative points about either or both games.

  7. Hi most of the online games ive played now have the option for some kind of stat for a user showing everyone else their expierience. I think that we should have respect points for the new mta so people can havesomething to build on like say next to your name on the scoreboard is accuracy or even a player level that rises when you kill someone. eg 100 kills = level 1. This should still be on your profile even if you change your name but it just gives everyone else an idea of how good you are and would attract more people to play the game. Your level should also appear on the forums.

  8. Im so glad to hear that there is gonna be racing in mtasa! The reason for this is that its almost impossible to organise a race on stunt mode because idiots start ramming you before the race has started. This new feature should seperate the men from the boys :))

  9. hi my connection speed is 512k but im not sure if this is suitable. everything seems smooth on the game but theres one problem.

    when i shoot someone, in most cases it inflicts no damage. either too many people are cheating or i am shooting thin air because the player has already moved and my connection is too slow to pick it up. Anyone know why?
