Linux wine SD #28

Question

I recently got a notebook from dell which comes with ubuntu by default. A kind friend of mine installed MTA on it through wine he said so that I can get onto MTA with the said notebook.

However, when I tried to get onto some servers, there is this SD #28 and as I read on https://wiki.multitheftauto.com/wiki/Anti-cheat_guide, I found it's basically a wine/Linux detection and disallow feature on MTA.

Why is such feature implemented? Now I must get back to desktop if I want to get on MTA to just chat with friends :S

Ahh I see. But my friend tried that as well using a that windows IE dev vm(I have no idea what is that lol! all I know it's vmware), but then the server I regularly get onto kicks VM users as well (SD #14). Looks like the only solution is to buy windows if I want that particular server on the notebook...
